July 1, 2020: Bruce Street is Open from Parkway to Parkway

This is a major milestone for our project. Bruce Street is now open from Parkway near Citizens National to Parkway at Cash Hardware. Although there is more work to be done, the opening of Bruce allows for July 4 visitors to access the area without impediments. Over the next two weeks, we will be working to finish the sidewalk portions near The Cherry Pit and Graze Burgers, along with completing the pavers at the new Gazebo crosswalk. Landscape materials will begin to be placed at the end of July, along with the simulated railroad ties commemorating the history of the Slow and Easy Railroad ran down the center of Bruce Street. Temporary closures of Bruce will take place through this process to allow Blalock construction crews to complete this work.

See the new Butterfly mural at the Gazebo parking area? Perfect for your memory photo in #DowntownSevierville!
